It’s been a great experience. The staff at Wishard love this project because they see the student engagement and they see how students view what we do every day and what we take for granted.
For the fourth year, Herron partnered with Wishard Foundation for an art competition and exhibition called Works of Hope and Healing. With an emphasis on art as a source of reflection, renewal, and healing, senior painting students took a field trip to Wishard Hospital in order to gather inspiration for their artworks. Wishard staff voted for one painting to be added to the Hospital’s extensive permanent collection of historic and contemporary paintings, and the artist, Anna Yu, received a purchase award for her piece, The Medicine.
