IDADA First In Line Art Exhibition and Sale

CALL TO ARTISTS

IDADA First In Line Art Exhibition and Sale
Thursday, June 28, 6:00-9:00pm
Stutz Art Space

The Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association (IDADA) is preparing for the sixth annual First In Line Art Exhibition and Sale to be held on Thursday, June 28 at Stutz Art Space (212 W. 10th St.) The call is open to all artists and supporters who want to donate original works of art of any artistic medium. During the event, all work will be priced at $100.00 and available to visitors and buyers on a first come, first serve basis.

The event itself is quite fun. When a work is purchased, a photo is taken of the buyer with the work. This photo is then displayed in the place of the artwork, which leaves with the patron. The show steadily morphs into a documentary snapshot show! There will be a members-only social hour before the event from 4:30-6:00pm. All IDADA members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Contributing artists may donate 50% or 100% of the proceeds from the sale of his/her work. All unsold work will be returned to the artist. All proceeds donated to IDADA will support the general operating fund. IDADA uses these funds to directly serve the local Indianapolis visual arts community. For more information on the programs IDADA supports, or to become an IDADA member, visit www.idada.org.

Donating artists should drop off their work at the Stutz Art Space on Tuesday, June 26 or Wednesday, June 27, from 12-5:30 pm (dock door entrance off of 10th St.). Please have work ready to hang, with appropriate (sturdy) hardware in place (wire, cleat, etc.). Please notify use in advance for special exhibition needs, or to reserve a pedestal. Unsold work will be picked up on Friday, June 29 from 12-5:30 pm, also at the Stutz Art Space.

Artists interested in donating work or learning more about the social hour or sale can contact Travis Little at travis@travislittle.com.
