On Saturday April 14th the Clay Pigeons will be hosting Creative Collaboration at the IUPUI Sculpture and Ceramics Building at 1350 Indiana Avenue. The event will include wheel throwing and hand building in the morning. We will be making homemade pizza in our kiln yard and then trim and do surface decoration in the afternoon.
The event will help create work for the Clay Pigeons Ceramics sales hosted throughout the year. These sales help Herron students who are interested in attending the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts.
Indiana University, Herron School of Art and Design welcomes you to a fall semester open house entitled Research x Design. This open house will provide an opportunity for people from the community and academia to engage with research for five Master-level design students. The content of this open house will include an area that each student is researching as well as a research plan that they will embark on for spring semester. By combining theory with practice, the thesis work will entail some form of exploration into design thinking and design leadership.
Meet the Saturday School teachers, tour studios, and see what the students have been creating this semester. Enjoy light refreshments and live music by the indy folk group, The No-Ops. You might decide to sign up for a class yourself! The afternoon includes an Awards Ceremony in our Basile Auditorium at 3pm. The event and parking are FREE!
