IUPUI is a destination campus, in part thanks to places like Herron School of Art and Design and IUPUI Honors College.

Herron students are well represented in IUPUI Honors College, according to its founding dean, E. Jane Luzar.

Created to attract academic stars, IUPUI Honors College is a community of like-minded students who benefit not only from scholarship support and each others’ company, but the cross-pollination of exposure to exciting faculty, projects and research opportunities across the campus.

IUPUI continues to gain national recognition among the ranks of the best universities. Most recently, the urban campus earned, for a fourth year, a place in the U.S. Presidential Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. More than 100 Herron visual communications students at undergraduate and graduate levels contributed to that distinction during the most recent survey period, representing more than 10 percent of the school’s annual enrollment.
