Evenings at Herron |
Evenings At Herron non-credit art classes for adults and for high school students take place at Herron School of Art and Design’s Eskenazi Hall one night a week. Students have opportunities to strengthen studio art skills, meet other creative people and experience Herron. Class sizes are limited, ensuring one-on-one attention from instructor.
SPRING REGISTRATION UNDERWAY
Spring semester start Wednesday, March 6. Classes meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Herron's Eskenazi Hall.
Spring 2013 Dates: March 6 through April 24 (2nd class will meet on Thursday night, March 14, at the Indianapolis Museum of Art due to IUPUI's spring break)

Explore oil painting and learn about the visual elements of color, light and form. Students will acquire a basic knowledge of materials and techniques, learning to “look” as they paint from direct observation.
The class will start with creating multiple small and direct paintings. We will then move onto longer studies and portraiture. Sketchbook will be used as a resource.
No previous painting experience required, although those with more experience are welcome. Students will need to purchase most of their supplies, although some painting surfaces will be provided.

$170 per course
An IUPUI Parking Permit tag is required to park on campus. The tags are available the first day of classes for a reduced rate of $25 for an Evenings at Herron semester.
