The deadline for the receipt of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is March 10. Applicants do not have to be accepted to the academic program prior to submitting the FAFSA. The FAFSA application is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
All graduate students at Herron are evaluated to receive school-based financial assistance including Herron Graduate Student Scholarships and Herron Graduate Fellowships. Applicants do not need to apply for Herron Scholarships and/or Herron Graduate Fellowships. The admissions committee evaluates all completed applications to determine these merit-based forms of financial support.
What is the application fee?
You will be required to pay a $60 application fee via the Web when you submit the online application.
What are the tuition and additional fees charged for the MFA program?
The current tuition rate and fees charged for the MFA program can be found at http://bursar.iupui.edu/apps/costestimator.aspx. When using the cost estimator, please be sure to indicate whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student (tuition rates vary depending on your residency), your status as a graduate student and your interest in the Herron program. Tuition rates increase every July for the upcoming academic year. The MFA degree in Visual Communication requires all students to complete 60 credit hours of required study at IUPUI.
Is financial aid available for graduate students?
Yes. All graduate students at Herron are evaluated for various kinds of financial assistance including Fellowships and Herron Graduate Student Scholarships. You do not need to apply for Fellowships and/or Herron Graduate Student Scholarships. Your completed application will be used to determine these merit-based forms of financial assistance.
