Sylvia Plath Symposium 2012 at Indiana University
More than 40 panelists from eleven countries, a dozen major scholars, 20 eminent poets and artists and anyone who cares to attend will gather in Bloomington for a symposium October 24 through 27 to commemorate the composition fifty years ago of Ariel, the second collection of Plath’s poems, which made her famous.Sylvia Plath, one the most influential writers of the 20th century, is also a cult figure with an international following.
The symposium, organized by the Department of English at Indiana University, Bloomington, is free and open to the public. Professor of Photography and Intermedia Linda Adelle Goodine will be one of the featured presenters. In conjunction with the 2012 Sylvia Plath Symposium at Indiana University, Bloomington, Professor of Photography and Intermedia Linda Adele Goodine will be part of a group exhibition at the Indiana University Museum. The exhibition will run from October 23, 2012 - January 27, 2013.
