godspipes, a collection of more than 100 translucent fiberglass and lead forms created in the 1990s by noted American sculptor Peter Shelton, was first exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, in 1998. This, the second exhibition of godspipes in the United States, re-introduces Peter Shelton to the Indianapolis community. In 1989, Shelton's large installation floatinghouseDEADMAN met with great enthusiasm when shown in this city under the auspices of the Herron School of Art and Design.

In addition to godspipes, the current exhibition includes photographic and audiovisual documentation of Shelton's major installations and commissions of the past three decades, plus an exciting preview of thinmanlittlebird, a major new work commissioned for the Indianapolis Central Library and scheduled for installation this fall.

Born in Troy, Ohio, Peter Shelton lives and works in Venice, California. His sculptures have been widely exhibited and are in major museum collections in this country and abroad.
