Laura Holzman teaches courses in art history and museum studies at Herron and at the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI. Her research examines contemporary visual culture, memory, public discourse, and place-based identity in the United States. She is currently writing a book about city icons and Philadelphia┬╣s reputation around the turn of the twenty-first century.
