Graduate fellowships
All MFA applicants are evaluated for various kinds of financial aid including Graduate Fellowships. Graduate Fellowships require the student to work approximately 10 hours per week during the 16-week semester. Assignments will enhance the student’s graduate education and experience. You do not need to submit a separate application for the Graduate Fellowship. Your completed application will be used to determine this merit-based form of financial assistance. If you do not wish to be considered for the fellowship, please clearly indicate this choice in your statement of intent.
Graduate Fellowships will be assigned on a semester basis and may be awarded in addition to scholarships. Any student receiving a Graduate Fellowship will be assigned a Faculty or Herron professional staff mentor/supervisor who will be responsible for providing information and guidance, and for evaluating the performance of the graduate student’s work related to the Fellowship.
Scholarships
Along with the potential of being awarded Graduate Fellowships, MFA applicants will also be considered for annually-renewable scholarships based on their application to the program (in other words, no further scholarship application materials are needed).
